It appears that I am still in student mode despite graduation being right around the corner and me receiving my results and getting a 2:1 classification.

 To say that I am happy to be done with uni would probably be an understatement. Whilst I enjoyed my course (loved it actually) to know that I won't have to write another essay any time soon is really, REALLY, nice. However, not the real struggle begins - trying to find that job.

I am lucky enough to be embarking on some work experience in my chosen field as of next week. Both exciting and nerve-wracking times. I really want to show them what I am made of, so I suppose positive thinking and jumping in with both feet is what is needed.

Also, if there are any followers out there who are interesting in Pro-Wrestling, I would really love it if you could check out my wrestling blog. I've been churning out some thoughts on there and have been loving it. Wrestling is something that I have watched since I was seven years old - fourteen years (wow, I feel old thinking about it like that!) and it's nice to air what I am liking and not liking about the industry.

As you can see since finishing Uni I have really gotten back into my blogging. I forgot how much time it took up but it's nice to type up a couple of posts here and there - especially on stuff that I love.

I know I need to get back into the swing of putting together my outfits - it's amazing how lazy you can get in life when you don't really have to look entirely presentable all of the time. #lazydays.

Honestly thought I wasn't going to get a post up today... I've been really busy today trying to figure things I'm taking on holiday and starting my packing. I know this week its going to be hectic considering I need to get ready for uni which is gonna be starting up again soon, I'm going on holiday at the end of the week and I need to see my cousin before she heads off to embark on her first year at uni. 

 

I didn't really dress in anything special today, just something that made me look a little bit respectable. The weather was rather gloomy today, but then again we are on the cusp of autumn. Autumn is usually my favourite season - even more so because it means my birthday is right around to corner. Just a little over two months until I turn 21, eeek! I hear it's all downhill from here!

Today's outfit features one o those shirts that I have finally managed to get back into. I was routing through my wardrobe and came across it and tried it on... I was so happy when I could button it up again. I don't really talk about weight loss on my blog because I find it really personal, for me weight is probably my biggest insecurity so when I wear an item of clothing I haven't picked up and thrown on since 2008-ish you can only imagine how I felt! Of course that makes the item incredibly old but I'm sure (no, I know) that you can find something like this in Topshop still to this day. Checked shirts are always everywhere on the high street no matter what season, no matter what year! 

I haven't been up to much today, just focusing on catching up on some TV and burying my head in my Highway Code book. I'm making the most of home comforts before I go on holiday in two weeks... And then back to Uni for my final year. I cannot believe how quick it has come around - literally feels like yesterday that I was starting my course. It's kinda scary how fast the time has gone! Also looking forward to a girly night out this weekend, it's been a while since I have gotten properly dressed up and gone out dancing! Cant wait!

I didn't have much planned for today other than getting the odd thing ready for my holiday in two weeks time. I've made a little list of things that I need to get done before then because I do not want to forget a single thing - that's always my worst nightmare! To be honest I can't wait to go on holiday with my best friend and just have some fun before we both embark on our third years at university.  It's nice to be productive once more. Last week I was in such a funk and everything just went completely belly up over the passed couple of days. Hopefully I'm back on the straight and narrow now and can get back into the swing of things. 

Obviously this lack of having things to do reflects in my outfit. This shirt was something I bought in the Topshop sale and I have to say it isn't my favourite thing I own but I cannot let is sit at the back of my wardobe - such a waste of money and I hate doing that! Jealous of everyone who went to V Festival over the weekend - then again the weather wasn't the best! Guess there can be a positive in a negative.

Again another simple outfit, blouse and jeans. I'm loving this combination because like I said last time you can look put together without having to put a great deal of effort in. Of course that makes me sound considerably lazy, but when I'm having to get up early in the morning to fit in workouts sometimes making myself look pretty isn't at the top of my list (really the only thoughts that are crossing my mind are that I just want to take a long bath/have a refreshing shower and eat some good food for breakfast and refuel).

Therefore it's more than likely going to be a slow week on the blog this week. I haven't really bought anything new for me to review (watching my pennies considering I'm going on holiday in Sept!) and sometimes putting together outfit posts takes a lot longer than I can find time for in my day, especially with the awful weather we have been having lately (lighting is such an issue - even in the daytime!). Hopefully you guys will bare with me and enjoy the posts that I do put together and publish and wait for my mojo to return!

nails: models own - grace green   I love outfits like this; one's that I can throw on and not put much effort into but still look put together. A lovely blouse and a good pair of black skinny jeans are definitely something that every girl should have in their wardrobe. I honestly never thought I would see the day where I became a jeans girl all over again. I went through a phase where I only wore leggings, tunics and cardigans - I even think some of that was documented on this very blog (eek!) but like everything style changes and moves on.

This blouse like I said when I first debuted it on this blog (read about that here) is a little out of my comfort zone. I say that it was a little garish but at the same time muted. If you let the shirt do the talking I think you can look effortlessly stylish and when thrown with my comfy black skinnies from Dotty P's in my eyes it does exactly that!

Recently I've been going through the motions and wondering what I want out of life. Woah, hold the phone, deep way to start an outfit post right? Yeah, sorry about that. Then again I guess it's better to be open than put a smile on everything. Anyway, it will make sense as we get further into the post....

What I'm trying to say is that I feel like my "going through the motions" is weaving it's way into everything. My sporadic posting, my lack of motivation (either trying to get experience, permanant job etc...) and fashion. I'm stuck in a rut of jeans, t-shirts, hoodies. A lot of it has to do with my fitness kick, my lack of wanting to do my hair or makeup because first thing in the morning I'm throwing on trainers and going for a 30 minute run. Plus, I don't really have anything to get "dressed up" for. Call me lazy, call me whatever, but it's the truth. I'm sure a lot of you reading this post can relate to me too (hopefully anyway, otherwise I look like an idiot!).

Hopefully this post gives me the kick up the backside that I need in turning my blog back into what I started it out as. A fashion journal of some sort, where I can reflect on my clothes etc... Time will tell, I guess.

Jeans: G21  I have been slacking majorly on fashion posts on my blog which is out of the ordinary for me considering it is what I love the most. However I'm trying to save, lose weight/be more active/healthy and therefore anything that I have to offer you guys is nothing that you won't have already seen before. I don't want this blog to become 'boring' if you will, seeing the same outfits thrown together, so I have decided for the mean time I'm going to focus my time and writing on putting together 'reviews' of products that I have been loving/using. Clothing is going to take a back burner.

Yet, in order to put this out there I wanted to post a little something. What I love about today's outfit is that it is so casual, so easy and just what I want whilst still being a little out there with a certain clothing item. I love these jeans, they are so unlike me and I have had them for ages but have never really gotten around to wearing them. However this morning I thought 'why the hell not?' and threw them on. They speak for themselves and take away a certain amount of plain-ness (is that even a word?) from the outfit. Has anyone else got this sort of item in their closest? If so what sort of thing is your 'go to' item in order to jazz up a boring t-shirt or skirt? I would love to know!

Lately my "style" has been changing quite a bit. One place where this has been showing is through my accessories. I have been becoming more and more plain as the months have been going on. Whether this has a lot to do with lack of time or being plain lazy I'm not quite sure. Probably the latter. These ASOS multipack plain bang rings are so simple yet chic at the same time. I have both colours, gold and silver and I find that they look great with everything. They are reasonably priced at £8.00 too!

I don't know any blogger who doesn't have these shoes either black velvet or black "leather", myself included. Considering the spring/summer months are upon us I knew I had to invest in the nude version of the shoes. They are gorgeous. I have to say I think I prefer them in the nude over the black.

As a shoe they are so versatile and add something to any outfit, hence why I have both black and nude. They do rub quite a lot though so I have to say wear them in around the house before you embark on a trip out. That or make sure you have a box of plasters in your handbag!

The weather today actually looked beautiful from where I was sat in my bedroom rounding up my work on an assignment. Can you sense a little bit of bitterness in that opening sentence? Haha! I have to say I love how these items look together. I think this will definitely be something that I'll be throwing on when I need to head out of the house and want to look a little more made up than usual.

It my Mum's birthday this week and I have no idea on what to get her! Maybe we'll just do something on the day and I'll treat her if we go out, either lunch or shopping. Maybe both?! Any ideas of a great presents for Mother's you have, send them my way in the comments, please!

Must have given myself a good talking to, mentally, without actually realising it. Compared to my last post this outfit is so - bright? At least there isn't a lot of black in it, baring the grey marl cardigan. I have to say I love this cardigan, something I got from Topshop a while ago and just thought it would be great as a summer cover up (considering I despise the tops of my arms). Quite simple but I like it.

I've got an exam in 18 days. If I said to you I wasn't scared, I'd be lying. I'm terrible in exam conditions but if I zone in on what I need to do, I should be okay, hopefully. I'm mainly worried about having to actually put pen to paper and write an essay in a set amount of time. I haven't had to do that since A-Level, exactly two years ago, near enough.

Actually writing on paper seems a bit foreign to me now considering everything for university is word processed now. Definitely gonna have to get practicing my handwriting, feel like I'm in primary school all over again. Haha!

Was in two minds to post this outfit because of my thighs. They look massive, lets be honest. And my outer thigh muscle... Just, ugh. It's always been a bane of my life. Then again I guess the more muscle the better it is for your body and burning calories. I don't know, maybe I'm just going through a phase again.

Seems like I can't live without this cardigan. If I'm not wearing it, I'm thinking about things that I can wear it with. You'd think I'd be becoming more summery with my clothing choices but I just can't step away from something black. Again, a phase, something that just won't leave me.

Thinking of having time off from blogging. I'm lacking inspiration, plus I have an exam coming up soon and I really need to get focusing on that considering my grades are really important to me. We shall see.

Had a really lovely day yesterday. Thinking of putting a wedding post together because after all this is a 'personal' blog and the wedding I attended yesterday was part of my personal life. Plus I kinda liked my dress and accessories a lot. I'll definitely get an outfit post on the go at some point, if I don't include it/post about the actual wedding itself.

Didn't do much today other than work on an assignment. University is coming to an end so quickly. Scary to think that by the end of summer I'll be embarking on my final year.

Started back on my fitness this week after barely doing any gym/working out sessions last week. And oh my god, I hurt so bad. I mean I'm not particularly fit, I try to workout 3-4 times a week, not that my body feels like showing it to entire world (unfortunately for me!) but seriously... It just goes to show how slacking can effect your stamina etc... Dreading this entire week of workouts but it's got to be done! I'll be fine again next week... Hopefully!

This outfit was surprisingly cool even with the weather outside. Not that I did a lot to make me extremely warm today. I'm busy getting ready for a wedding at the weekend (Sunday) and lets not forget Wrestlemania! I'm really psyched for the wrestling (don't judge me).

I really love this coat. You guys don't realise how much. I really want to wear it to uni but can't because I fear people will judge me. Stupid really isn't it but I guess I'm one of those people who cares a little too much what people think of them. Sometimes you can't go wrong with a rich burgundy and camel pairing. Neither can you go wrong with a slouchy t-shirt and some leggings. This outfit was perfect combo. Shame I can't say the same about my makeup which just looks terrible. That's what you get when it wears off, unfortunately! Try and ignore it if you can... Haha!
