A self confessed black addict when it comes to clothing I feel Demi has come into her own with recent changes in her personal life treating issues. She is dressing her body shape well, taking into consideration her petite height frame and classic combinations. Her use of summer pieces with the spring transition helps create a classy yet casual outfit without much thought. This is definitely something that can be thrown together easily and look good without even trying.
This week's style steal goes to teen musician and actress Demi Lovato.

The newest section of my blog is to be a look book. Here I will pick a trend from SS11 and using a many high streets stores try to recreate some sort of outfit. The first trend is going to be colour blocking and items here will be electric blocks of colour that will easily make your wardrobe pop.
The colour blocking of blue and yellow contrasts well without being too OTT. The lightweight silky vest is perfect for summer, especially layering whilst the lace skirt add a sophisticated style to this somewhat edgy trend of SS2011.
This outfit is definitely more for the younger generation with the garish colours contrasting against each other perfectly. When mixing colours the easiest to do so with definitely are blue, pink and orange as they are so different from each other yet sit next to each other easily.
For those who are not quite sure about mixing and matching in your face colours it is better to just stick to one which can be dressed down and somewhat tamed with accessories of a matching nature. Orange is a great colour for summer when it comes to showing off any tan, whether natural or fake, and sits perfectly against tans and golds of old.
A key part of this outfit for me is the earrings and I have highlighted these because for those of you out there who aren't so keen on wearing bright clothes then focus on accessories. There is no need for anyone to miss out on this trend that is so great.

I don't think I've bared this much skin for so long that it feels weird for me to even see it. My skin is terrible at the moment thanks to the bad diet whilst in Nottingham and yesterday at one of my friends BBQs. These pictures were actually from yesterday when I ventured out of the house, today I did no such thing in order to round up one of my two essays. I actually don't have a lot to write so... Bye?
#1. The pictures from last weekend at my best friends house. We had such a laugh messing around on Photobooth. Seriously it can kill some time. We made so many videos lip-syncing to some songs, like Nicki Minaj "Superbass", no one is ever seeing that hahaha!
#2. I went to Nottingham this weekend to celebrate one of my friends birthdays. It's not actually her birthday until next week, the date of the royal wedding I believe, but we hadn't gone to see her Uni digs yet and she really wanted us to before the first year was out. I had such a great time! I'm not as much as "raver" as she is but part of me wishes I had gone away for uni, I just don't think I would have been able to cope for that reason alone and because I'd miss my family too much. I did have such a blast though, such a great city, cheap booze. Defo can't wait to go back again next year.
#3. So excited to watch United tonight, looks like a great drama. I have a 'thing' for one of the lead guys in it, and any David Tennant, Doctor Who fans should check it out on BBC 2 at 9pm. It's about the Busby Babes so should be interesting.
#4. I'm actually really appalled that The Only Way Is Essex has been nominated for a BAFTA. It's so stupid. I mean I'll admit I am hooked on the show, but it has to be the biggest pile of crap out there. There are tons of Dramas and actual acting works that most likely haven't been recognised that are utterly brilliant and then stuff like this is given so much attention. I mean, the same goes for Jersey Shore, no wonder other countries think the UK and USA are laughing stocks!
#5. HOW GOOD WAS COACHELLA?! I sat watching Kings of Leon and The Strokes via youtube. Wish I could have gone. Damn it God, why didn't you give me a rich daddy with a private jet so I could come and go as I pleased. Oh no, that would have been TOO EASY wouldn't it. Ugh.

~*soz*~ for the editing on the top picture, the lighting wasn't so great and now they're just awful but oh well!
This week I've been enjoying the weather. It's been so sunny! I went holiday clothes shopping and spent way too much money... AND I still haven't got everything that I need. It feels never ending. Yesterday and today were essay writing days, I'm getting incredibly depressed about it but the ending is so close now. I don't have much else to add other than the blog is going to be incredibly slow because I'm just doing other things, aka bugger all.
#1. It's my Mom's birthday tomorrow so we went out for a meal today. I like spoiling her when it comes to her birthday because she does so much for me that I literally would be lost without her. We're going shopping tomorrow, so I can get her a couple of new things like clothes, but I want her to pick them out. Whilst there I'll get some stuff for Ibiza in July... It's so close now that I'm beginning to panic and get broke. Story of my life maybe.
#2. I went to my best friends sisters at the weekend to do some house sitting. It was immense. Had such a blast cooking, watching movies and generally catching up. We always used to joke that we would move in with each other if we ever were to move down to London... Haha... It would be a nightmare because we're both so messy. However least I know I'd survive and wouldn't die of hunger any time soon considering Erica, my best friend, is an awesome cook!
#3. I've been a lot better with the blog this week, getting posts out there. Still lacking on OOTD's because I just don't have to time to knock up pictures and then write how my life is going. I don't really have a lot to talk about because all I'm doing in the week is working. A lot of uni deadlines are coming up and modules are coming to a close or have already finished. I really can't believe that I'm done with my first year of uni technically. The hard work starts next year and to tell you the truth I'm dreading it. I've just got to put a lot of work in and remain focused.
#4. I've been working out a lot more this week and I've found something within myself that actually enjoys it now. I don't know maybe its the idea of having to go on holiday with people, friends, who are slim, WAY WAY WAY slimmer than me but I'm trying so hard to become comfortable and hopefully this will help. One of my summer goals is to get fit, something I've been trying to do since the beginning of 2011. There hasn't been a week day that doesn't go by where I haven't worked out so I'm thinking I'm going to keep to this. It's not about weight loss, it's gonna be about lifestyle change from now one. I think that's where I've gone wrong before. Anyway, Dr Phil episode over with for another week haha!
I am going to Ibiza this year with a bunch of my friends so I decided to three outfits that I want to be in my wardrobe this summer. Some of these I have already purchased and some I may do so.
Being body conscious I decided to for black. Whilst I maybe sweltering I think you can never go wrong with a classic swimsuit that is timeless yet chic with the youthful balance of frill. I like how the kaftan itself doesn't actually like one which means this piece could easily be thrown over trousers and just be played off as a t-shirt. I have to say that the bag is my favourite piece from this outfit. The fact that it is a holdall means that you can shove pretty much anything in it be it a book, shoes or a maxi dress and you're good to go for a day at the beach. I like the idea of carrying a lot of stuff when I'm holiday because you tend to travel every where so something like this is perfect.
When it comes to casual outfits whilst on holiday I immediately thought of festival fashion and chic. The idea of pulling on a pair of shorts, pretty top and sandals can never fail in the sun. Effortless, casual, yet you can make it fun to whatever you want it to be. This is why I've thrown in a straw hat in there. This outfit could definitely be worn to a festival, but maybe make sure to swap the shoes for wellies else you'll be in trouble! Haha! Topshop have some great blouse shirts that look great thrown over jeans for that causal yet smart look, and thrown together with classic tortoise wayfarers screams Rachel Bilson, eat your heart out!
The choice of colour and dress is fitting both for the end of the holiday when you've got your amazing glowing tan and for the fashion block colour trend. I adore the colour of this dress even though orange isn't one of my favourites, but it is the added detail of high neck and pleated fabric that draws me to it even more. I know this dress will look great on even if you've only just thrown it on and that is definitely something you need when on holiday. And when teamed with tan wedges and gold jewellery you are definitely onto a winner.

l - r: Floral Print Skirt, Peter Pan Collared Shirt, Contrast Leather Envelope Bag, Sunkissed Mustard Dress, Lips in Ohh La La, Lips in Nevada, Square Ring.
Topshop is one of those places that I know if I have money to spend I'll find something in there to spend it on! After having a casual browse on their website today in the breaks of working I found quite a few things that I want.
The floral skirt is something I can see myself wearing with a Fred Perry polo shirt and white Converse to a summer afternoon BBQ. I absolutely adore it. The fact that it isn't too short or too long makes me far more inclined to buy it so I won't have to worry about my "milk bottle" legs. As you may know I'm obsessed with Peter Pan collared anything. I have tons of the stuff, yet I don't always wear it. I guess this is something I'll have to admire from afar, but I want it so bad. The monochrome colour makes it so much chicer and classic...
I'm not a huge fan of the Topshop Makeup range but these two lipsticks are so nice. I love the Ohh La La coral colour much more than the Lips in Nevada which is quite surprising considering I much rather have nature or no makeup on. But when it comes to colours, Coral is that one colour that I can never really pass up on. I actually love that colour so much! I'm not quite sure about it on the lips, after many people seem to appear and look like a disaster with their fake tans and bright lips trend but maybe I'll give it a go.
#1. This week was my final week at Uni. I don't have to go in now unless to collect or hand in work. I always find that the boring bit, because I need to actually find the motivation to get off my butt to go into uni for literally .456 seconds. I suppose it has to be done though. Soon be over. And the weather is just perfect too... So something is going right after all.
#2. I enjoyed a girls night in Friday night at one of my friends houses. We ordered a takeaway and watched films. Two of my friends have recently broken up with their boyfriends so they just want to be around ~*their girlzzz*~ to forget about everything. It was actually quite fun. I'm enjoying simpler things all over again. I think when teens in England get to 18 they think they need to go our and get blind drunk to have a good time but to tell you the truth it gets boring after about the third or four time of hitting da club.
#3. Recently started watch The Borgias. It is actually really good. I like the whole incorporation of drama with history. Whilst it may not always be true to facts you can actually learn something. I mean, I've found myself researching the house of Borgia since I've started watching the show and I've definitely learnt something. I like how most of the cast, if not all of them are British. It's refreshing to know that Britain can still produce some great actors. It's a shame that as a country we don't plough a lot of money into arts and rely on American's for that because then we hardly get anything back from great creations because of lack of production. Anyway, I'll get off my soapbox now haha, but I suggest checking The Borgias out if anyone has the time!
#4. Sorry for lack of any posts this week I've just been enjoying time away from a bunch of stuff and making sure my work is done and ready to be handed in. I'm now currently trying to plan my other two essays that need to be in after the easter holidays. I'm actually looking quite forward to one of my assignments for my Media, Power and Politics due to the different aspect that it brings to the table. The fact that I can write a letter to my local MP talking about something rather than a typical essay makes me look at the subject in a different light. I'm actually excited to write something for this piece of work. geek 4 lyf.
1 - Getting back in WWE.
2 - Editing essays.
3 - My brothers 02 Academy gig.
4 - Being OCD matching my ring to my nails.
5 - Beautiful sunset.
6 - Blowing money I don't really have.
7 - New Martina Cole novel.
8 - Eating Softmints like they're going out of fashion.
9 - Topshop.com
#1. Didn't get a chance to do a "portrait snap" this week so I copped out and just stuck in a picture that was taken friday night. Soz.
#2. Had a great weekend celebrating a friends birthday from college. Went to Gatecrasher and spent most of the night dancing to Oasis considering thats all the music that the "indie" DJ appeared to like. Haha! The price of alcohol is ridiculous... £15 for a pitcher in Revolution... You can get two for that price in Wetherspoons. So glad I'm not one of these people who has to get blind drunk to have a good time because I would so skint right now!
#3. I'm sick of having lack of confidence in a ton of different things. Either it's ideas that I have, how I look, my thoughts or opinions and what others have done. I'm always worrying about whether I've done something right and compare EVERYTHING virtually. I mean if that's how I've interpreted something then surely it's right? If I can back up something I say or do then it's right, right? I don't know, I'm just over a ton of things. I'm over worrying. I need to stop it.
#4. I AM SO STOKED FOR WRESTLE MANIA TONIGHT! I know that's GHEY or whatever but I actually am. The fact that I've actually thought about paying £15 to see a bunch of steroid filled men throw each other around a ring and completely be fake acting makes me LOL but it just had to be done. And when I say pay, I mean my brother paid.
#5. Last but by no means least.... Happy Mothers Day mom! :)
