Mac Soft and Gentle Mineralize Skinfinish

you can buy this mac skin finish from Debenhams for £21.50

Most of you may not know this but I am a huge fan of highlighter. If Iam got put anything on my cheeks then I tend to stay away from anything that can redden my cheeks/or add colour - yet I still want some definition and dimension, which highlight provides.

I mainly use powder highlights (Opal by No.7 cosmetics is a fave) on my cheeks as they add so much more to the skin, giving a gorgeous flawless finish that is not only polished but sophisticated.

This is my first MAC purchase and I have to say I have nothing but a positive outcome. The Mineralize Skin Finish in Soft and Gentle is gorgeous, I haven't stopped using it ever since I purchase the item. It is a perfect beige/peach gold which adds just the right amount of glow to the skin without making you look like a glitter ball.

Made of a very fine power the products boasts a high frost/metallic finish. I apply this item a blush brush and sweep it across my cheek bones, buffing it in so that it catches the light and gives the feel and look of flawless skin (not that my skin is particularly horrendous or anything without this product). For added glow I sometimes run the product down the bridge of my nose and above my cupids bow (can give the illusion of a more pronounced cupid's bow).

The product has become one of my firm favourites recently. For the price, you definitely get quite a lot for your money as a little really does go a long way. Cannot wait to see what my next purchase from MAC will be. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

The weather today actually looked beautiful from where I was sat in my bedroom rounding up my work on an assignment. Can you sense a little bit of bitterness in that opening sentence? Haha! I have to say I love how these items look together. I think this will definitely be something that I'll be throwing on when I need to head out of the house and want to look a little more made up than usual.

It my Mum's birthday this week and I have no idea on what to get her! Maybe we'll just do something on the day and I'll treat her if we go out, either lunch or shopping. Maybe both?! Any ideas of a great presents for Mother's you have, send them my way in the comments, please!

sunday snap #75.

#1. Finally got my MacBook back after it has taken a huge chunk out of my bank balance. Luckily my Dad said that he will give me the money back, so that will be going into my bank account asap! Have to say that Apple are completely robbing buggers... Haha! How British of me does that sound? Anyway... I just want to make people reading this aware of that fact. If you ever need to get your computer fixed go in there with the idea that you won't back down if they try and get you to pay completely over the odds.

#2. I've been trying my hardest to get a lot of work done this weekend. I'm currently in the process of cutting down one of my assignments to make sure that it fits into the word count. This has to be the most frustrating part of writing an assignment for me. Whoever invented the idea of word counts when answering a question is an annoying person for sure!

#3. I've been enjoying listening to a lot of old albums this week whilst I've been tackling my bane of an assignment. Nothing like a little bit of nostalgia.

#4. I decided this week that I wanted to step away from blogging for a little bit. Not because I don't enjoying doing it, because I do, a lot. It's just that I'm getting closer to end of my second year at Uni and I want to try and find something else to fill my time for a little bit. Something such as work experience, or a placement or something. I'm gonna try and do an outfit post when and where I can (this will most likely be at the weekends) and maybe a Sunday Snap every so often (hopefully these will become more interesting if I fill my time wisely). Who knows?! One thing for sure is that posting won't be as often as it is now, but I'm not going to neglect the blog completely.

#5. This week I have really been into my youtube gurus. I came across someone called Miss Budget Beauty. She is fab! Definitely check her out for some great videos and reviews regarding anything and everything, especially drugstore finds!

Must have given myself a good talking to, mentally, without actually realising it. Compared to my last post this outfit is so - bright? At least there isn't a lot of black in it, baring the grey marl cardigan. I have to say I love this cardigan, something I got from Topshop a while ago and just thought it would be great as a summer cover up (considering I despise the tops of my arms). Quite simple but I like it.

I've got an exam in 18 days. If I said to you I wasn't scared, I'd be lying. I'm terrible in exam conditions but if I zone in on what I need to do, I should be okay, hopefully. I'm mainly worried about having to actually put pen to paper and write an essay in a set amount of time. I haven't had to do that since A-Level, exactly two years ago, near enough.

Actually writing on paper seems a bit foreign to me now considering everything for university is word processed now. Definitely gonna have to get practicing my handwriting, feel like I'm in primary school all over again. Haha!

sunday snap #74.

#1. Firstly, I just want to say sorry that there wasn't a "Sunday Snap" roundup last week but I was as my best friend's sister's wedding. I had such a lovely day and night (when I came home I managed to catch Wrestlemania too!!! Woo hoo!) The bride looked really beautiful and the whole day was so nice! I'm such a sucker for girly things like wedding dresses and decorations, so I was in my element!

#2. I got back into working out this week after I had a "break" last week. Seriously, I am never doing it again. You can feel how your body deteriorates and it's horrible. Definitely want to up my workouts more, if possible and I'm thinking of joining the gym again so that I can workout for longer sessions at a time. I just don't want to waste any money.

#3. Had a girly night this week with two of my best friends Erica and Laura. I really love those two! Nothing like a catch up and photoboothing the hell out of a night. #itsthelittlethings

#4. Back to reality with assignments though... Up to my eyeballs in books. Oh the joys of university. Gotten out of the habit of getting on with my work, but I need to snap out of it. Definitely have to get things done because my adventures to Nottingham at the end of the month! Woo hoo!

#5. This week's follow five blogs: Lizzie at Cupcake and Cosmestics, Devon Elizabeth, Charlotte Clothier, Away With The Fairies,
A Little Lipstick.

Was in two minds to post this outfit because of my thighs. They look massive, lets be honest. And my outer thigh muscle... Just, ugh. It's always been a bane of my life. Then again I guess the more muscle the better it is for your body and burning calories. I don't know, maybe I'm just going through a phase again.

Seems like I can't live without this cardigan. If I'm not wearing it, I'm thinking about things that I can wear it with. You'd think I'd be becoming more summery with my clothing choices but I just can't step away from something black. Again, a phase, something that just won't leave me.

Thinking of having time off from blogging. I'm lacking inspiration, plus I have an exam coming up soon and I really need to get focusing on that considering my grades are really important to me. We shall see.

Here are some photographs from my time at the wedding I attended last weekend! I had such a great time and the weather was definitely on everyone's side which was lovely too! I just want to say another massive congrats to the bride and groom. Best wishes in the starting of your married life together and have a fantastic time on your honeymoon in Cape Verde!

Had a really lovely day yesterday. Thinking of putting a wedding post together because after all this is a 'personal' blog and the wedding I attended yesterday was part of my personal life. Plus I kinda liked my dress and accessories a lot. I'll definitely get an outfit post on the go at some point, if I don't include it/post about the actual wedding itself.

Didn't do much today other than work on an assignment. University is coming to an end so quickly. Scary to think that by the end of summer I'll be embarking on my final year.

Started back on my fitness this week after barely doing any gym/working out sessions last week. And oh my god, I hurt so bad. I mean I'm not particularly fit, I try to workout 3-4 times a week, not that my body feels like showing it to entire world (unfortunately for me!) but seriously... It just goes to show how slacking can effect your stamina etc... Dreading this entire week of workouts but it's got to be done! I'll be fine again next week... Hopefully!
