look-book #2

The newest section of my blog is to be a look book. Here I will pick a trend from SS11 and using a many high streets stores try to recreate some sort of outfit. The second trend is going to be monochrome, which is a classic style and combination that is essentially always in fashion.


Sleek and sophisticated this dress from Asos could easily be carried throughout and out of the SS11 trend. The key thing about monochrome is that it never really goes out of fashion so sometimes it is okay to splash out that little but more on items that essentially will always be in your wardrobe whether they are at the back or at the forefront.


I feel like H&M have come up trumps with a cheap outfit that fits in well with a key trend of the SS. A black maxi dress is something that can carry you throughout the summer after being used in spring too. Whilst for me it is this straw clutch that I love, whilst it is totally impractical it is definitely cute and something that can be thrown into a suitcase for a holiday or used easily for a wedding.


The wide leg trouser is something that any top heavy/pear shaped women should have in their wardrobe as it only only flatters their curves but also counterbalances them when mixed with a print and block colour ensemble.
